Top Games for the Kindle Fire

Let's be honest. We all love Angry Birds and we all love Plants Vs. Zombies, but sometimes we want more from a game than something that requires very little attention. I'm coming to suspect that the Kindle Fire is highly underrated as a device for the kind of more serious games that you can really sink your teeth into.

That's what this list is about: more elaborate games that make full use of the Fire's capabilities. Whether they be action games, sports games, or RPG style games, all of these attempt to stretch the bounds of mobile gaming while working very nicely for people trying to stretch their budgets. If you're looking for something a little more interactive and immersive, give these a look!

Name: Sim City Deluxe
Rating: 3.1 stars over 15 reviews
Price: 4.99
Description: Browsing through your Twitter feed in the morning, you come across a link to an article about up-and-coming bands in the New Orleans music scene. A major fan, you've got the Revivalists on your iPod and you think they must play this stuff in heaven. You'd love to stop and read more, but it's 7:30 and you have to be on the road. Sadly, you'll be busy and offline for most of the day, and may forget where you saw the article before you have another moment to yourself online. As you put your mobile in your pocket, you wish there were a way to save that page to read offline, in case you happen to catch some down time on the road.
