Free Apps Plus How to Change Brightness on Kindle Fire

Without anymore 10 cent apps to keep us busy, it's back to free ones for this post. Fortunately there are some very nice ones that'll fit in great on your Kindle Fire.

Considering the shipping days are dwindling, I'll mention Amazon's Top Holiday Deals one more time in case anyone has a few more items they need to find. Before we get to the free apps, there's one nice little trick I heard about today.

Adjusting Brightness on the Kindle Fire Screen
One of the complaints that have gone unanswered so far is that some people find the screen too bright and aren't able to easily adjust it. Like with everything else, there's an app for that, but this one can't be found on Amazon (yet). It's called Screen Filter, it's free, and it needs to be side-loaded from the Android Market. Reviews are overwhelmingly enthusiastic, and it'll make problems with screen brightness a thing of the past. You can get Screen Filter for free HERE.

Now on to some handy apps that won't cost you a penny!
